What are the types of lime vertical kilns
Lime vertical kiln is the core equipment in lime production. According to the fuel type, structural characteristics, and calcination process, it can be mainly divided into the following categories:
Classified by fuel type:
Mixed firing vertical kiln: mainly using solid fuels (such as coke and anthracite), the fuel is mixed with limestone and burned in the kiln, with low thermal efficiency but wide fuel adaptability, suitable for small and medium-sized production.
Gas fired vertical kiln: using gas fuels (such as natural gas, coke oven gas, blast furnace gas), heating through burners, with high thermal efficiency and better environmental performance, gradually becoming mainstream.
Fuel shaft kiln: uses liquid fuels such as heavy oil and diesel, which are relatively less commonly used due to their high cost.
Classified by structural characteristics:
Ordinary vertical kiln: Traditional structure, manual feeding and unloading, low production efficiency, gradually replaced by mechanized equipment.
Mechanized vertical kiln: equipped with automatic feeding and discharging systems to achieve continuous production, improve output and quality stability.
Energy saving and environmentally friendly vertical kiln: adopting new insulation materials and waste heat recovery technology to reduce energy consumption and emissions, meeting the requirements of green production.
Classified by calcination process:
Parallel flow thermal storage vertical kiln: such as a double chamber vertical kiln, which achieves efficient utilization of heat energy through alternating calcination and preheating of two kiln bodies, with a heat consumption as low as 850 × 4.18kJ/kg.
Counter current calcination vertical kiln: The direction of combustion gas and material movement is opposite, resulting in more uniform calcination, but slightly lower thermal efficiency.
