What was the structure of the lime kiln
Lime vertical kiln is a common equipment for lime firing, with a relatively simple and practical structure.
The main body of a vertical kiln is usually upright, with a feeding port at the top for feeding limestone raw materials; At the bottom, there is an ash outlet for discharging the calcined lime. The kiln body is generally made of ordinary bricks or steel plates, with refractory bricks built inside to withstand high temperature calcination. Heat insulation materials such as asbestos slag and foam diatomite are filled between the two layers to reduce heat loss. There is also a combustion device inside the kiln to provide the heat required for calcination.
The vertical kiln is also equipped with a material distribution device to ensure even distribution of limestone inside the kiln, as well as an ash discharge device to achieve automated discharge of lime. The entire vertical kiln has a compact structure and is easy to operate, suitable for small-scale production or specific process requirements.
