Lime vertical kilns have significant advantages in terms of land occupation due to their unique structure and compact layout. The vertical kiln body design enables the equipment to efficiently utilize space in the vertical direction, thereby reducing land occupation in the horizontal direction.
Generally speaking, the footprint of a lime vertical kiln varies depending on the kiln's scale, production capacity, and the complexity of supporting facilities. Taking the common 600 ton daily lime vertical kiln as an example, its land area is approximately 220 square meters. Compared to traditional rotary kilns and other kiln types, this data shows a significantly smaller footprint, approximately equivalent to only one-fifth of the footprint of rotary kilns with the same production capacity.
The reason for the small footprint of lime vertical kilns is not only related to the structural characteristics of the kiln body, but also to the layout of the feeding system. The feeding is arranged at a large angle using a single bucket elevator, and the layout of each functional area is compact, further reducing the footprint. This compact layout not only helps to reduce land costs, but also better adapts to the demand for limited land resources. For areas with tight land resources, building lime vertical kilns is more economical and feasible.
