What are the quality control points during lime production
Strict quality control of lime production is the key to produce high-quality products. The following are the main control points.
Raw material control is the basis. Limestone with high calcium carbonate content and less impurities shall be selected, and the limestone block diameter shall be strictly controlled. For example, the vertical kiln shall be suitable for 40-80mm and the rotary kiln for 20-60mm to ensure uniform calcination. For fuel, select coal or natural gas with high calorific value and low sulfur content to avoid affecting the quality of lime.
Calcination link needs precise regulation. Set proper temperature according to the type of kiln, generally 1000 - 1200 ℃ for shaft kiln and 1200 - 1450 ℃ for rotary kiln, and monitor the temperature and pressure change in real time to prevent over-burning or under-burning. Ensure sufficient calcination by controlling the ratio of limestone to fuel and the retention time of materials in the kiln.
Treatment of finished products is equally important. Timely cool the lime to avoid the activity reduction caused by long-time high temperature; Strict screening to remove unburnt stones and impurities; The lime shall be stored in sealed package to prevent deterioration due to reaction with water and carbon dioxide in the air, and ensure that the activity of outgoing lime, effective calcium oxide content and other indicators meet the standards.
