How is the crushing and sieving process of limestone
The purpose of the Limestone Crushing and Screening process is to process the mined bulk limestone into different size products to meet the needs of the Limestone Industry. Generally, coarse crushing is carried out first. The mined limestone has a large particle size, which is preliminarily crushed by jaw crusher to greatly reduce the particle size. The materials after coarse crushing will enter the secondary crushing link, and the cone crusher or reaction crusher will play a role to further reduce the particle size of limestone and prepare for fine crushing.
Hammer crushers are commonly used in the fine crushing stage to crush limestone to finer sizes. The crushed limestone needs to be screened. Vibrating screen is a common equipment, which screens the limestone into different particle sizes through different screen apertures. Larger particles not meeting the particle size requirements will be returned to the crusher for re-crushing to form a closed loop to ensure that the product particle size meets the standard.
