Low cost dust removal method for lime kiln flue gas
Lime kiln flue gas contains a large amount of dust, and direct emission will pollute the environment. The following low cost dedusting schemes can be adopted in case of limited cost of small and medium-sized enterprises:
Gravity settling chamber
A settling chamber is set in the flue gas discharge path to naturally settle the large particle dust by reducing the flow velocity. Simple structure, no power required, but only applicable to particles above 50 μ m, ash deposit shall be cleaned regularly.
Water bath dust collector
The flue gas passes through the water curtain or pool, and the dust is settled after being absorbed by the water. The construction materials can be brickwork or steel plates, with low operation cost, but the wastewater needs to be treated, which is suitable for the working condition with poor humidity requirements.
Simple bag dust removal
Polyester bag resistant to high temperature is used to filter fine particles, and the filtration air velocity (≤ 1m/min) is reduced in design to reduce the loss of bag. Manual dust removal is required, but the maintenance cost is lower than pulse bag dust removal.
Cyclone dust collector improvement
Multiple groups of small cyclones are used in parallel to improve the capture efficiency for small particles (above 10 μ m). Steel or ceramic materials, lower investment than electric precipitator.
matters needing attention
Select materials according to actual temperature of kiln (usually 150~300 ℃);
Check the equipment regularly to prevent blocking or corrosion;
Can be combined (e.g. settling chamber+water bath) to improve the effect.
Considering economy and practicability, the above methods are suitable for enterprises with limited capital to realize up-to-standard emission.
