The rotary distributor of the lime kiln is the core feeding and distributing equipment of modern mechanized shaft furnaces. Its performance directly determines the stability of the working conditions inside the kiln, the quality of lime products, and the overall energy consumption efficiency. It fundamentally solves key technical problems caused by traditional fixed distribution methods, such as uneven material distribution, segregation inside the kiln, and short-circuiting of gas flow.

This equipment is typically installed on the kiln roof, and its core function lies in precisely and uniformly spreading the mixed material of limestone and fuel (such as coke or anthracite) lifted to the kiln roof through a rotatable and adjustable-angle chute according to the preset process program, forming an ideal material layer profile across the entire cross-section inside the kiln. This process is far from being a simple "pouring of material", but rather a precise operation involving machinery, automation, and control technology.

The basic structure of the rotary feeder includes a receiving hopper, a rotary drive mechanism, a chute (spreading chute), a chute tilt adjustment device, and a crucial kiln top sealing system. Its working process is as follows: The material is transported to the kiln top by a winch and poured into the receiving hopper; then, the control system instructs the drive mechanism to rotate the chute around the central axis of the kiln, while precisely adjusting the tilt angle of the chute according to the preset "feeding mode" (such as single ring, multiple rings, fan shape, or fixed point feeding). The material is guided by the chute and thrown into the kiln under the action of centrifugal force and gravity, forming a uniform and flat annular material layer.

Its technical value is primarily manifested in the following aspects: Firstly, it ensures uniform distribution of materials and fuels, avoiding localized overburning or underburning, thereby significantly enhancing the reactivity of lime and reducing the rate of overburning and underburning. Secondly, it optimizes the airflow distribution within the kiln. By intentionally placing large pieces of material around the kiln walls and small pieces in the center, it effectively increases the resistance to airflow at the edges, balances the "kiln wall effect", and guides the hot airflow to penetrate uniformly through the entire material column, greatly improving heat exchange efficiency and reducing energy consumption per ton of product. Lastly, it achieves automation and stable operation. The fully enclosed structure, coupled with automated control, enables continuous, unmanned operation based on material level signals, effectively suppressing dust emission and laying a solid foundation for the long-term, stable operation of the kiln.

The rotary distributor of the lime kiln has evolved from a mere actuator into a sophisticated process control system. Through the crucial process of scientific material distribution, it ensures uniform and efficient heat transfer of gas-solid two-phase flow within the kiln, making it an indispensable key equipment for achieving high production, high quality, low consumption, and environmental protection goals of the lime shaft furnace. Its technical level and operational status are important indicators to measure the modernization level and progressiveness of a lime kiln.
