Analysis of Factors Affecting the Quality of Calcined Lime in Shaft Kiln
Lime shaft kiln is the key equipment to produce lime, and the quality of calcined lime is influenced by many factors.
Quality of raw materials is the basis. The content of impurities in limestone, such as silicon, aluminum, iron and other oxides, will reduce the activity of limestone. If the particle size of limestone is not uniform, it will cause uneven heating during calcination, and part of limestone will be burned excessively or under, affecting the overall quality.
Fuel properties are also critical. The heat value, ash content and volatile matter of fuel directly affect the calcination temperature and atmosphere. Low heat value, difficult to reach the required calcination temperature; High ash content will reduce the purity of lime; Improper volatile matter may result in slaking in the kiln.
Operating parameters are also critical. Excessively high calcination temperature, easy over-burning of lime and reduced activity; If the temperature is too low, it will be under-burned and the lime will not be decomposed completely. Unreasonable excess air coefficient will affect combustion efficiency, lead to unstable atmosphere in the kiln and affect lime quality.
In addition, the kiln structure and ventilation also have an impact. Poor insulation performance of kiln body, large heat loss, increased energy consumption and affected calcination effect; Poor ventilation will cause uneven gas distribution in the kiln and hinder normal calcination.
In order to ensure high quality lime calcined by the vertical kiln, it is necessary to strictly control and optimize the raw materials, fuel, operating parameters and kiln body.
